Apple TV Review
In this video, MacMall takes a look at the Apple TV, which lets you stream the online content you love on your television. Admittedly, there are many similar devices like this on the market, such as the Google Chromecast, the Roku player, Boxee Box by D-Link, etc. While the Apple TV is quite similar to these other devices, it remains popular for its ease of use in allowing you to view content from your other Apple devices, such as your iPhone, iPad, or MacBook.
The device supports 1080p video with Dolby digital 5.1 surround sound, so you’ll be able to enjoy your movies in full HD quality. Behaving a bit like smart DVRs, the Apple TV also keeps track of your favorite shows. This way, the next time you turn on your television, you’ll be able to see which season and episode you’re on and if there’s any new content.
What truly sets the Apple TV apart from its competitors is that it allows you to view content stored to your iCloud. (I wish my media player could play my videos on the cloud!)
