How to Keep your iPad in Tip-Top Shape

iPads are great; having an iPad is like carrying around a flat laptop with you wherever you go. They allow you to send emails, stay in touch with friends, and play your favorite games without fail.

This is exactly why you should learn how to properly care for your precious iPad. After all, prevention is better than cure. Here are a few simple ways to make sure that your iPad is always in top shape:

Avoid hard surfaces. Your iPad’s surface is made of glass. And so you should always be careful not to drop it on hard surfaces, because it’s not going to look so smooth and shiny when your hard, unforgiving floor is done with it.

Use a cloth to maintain cleanliness. Keep the screen looking like your iPad just came out of the box by occasionally wiping it down with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Wiping it especially after every use ensures that it will be looking good every time you pick it up.

Avoid cleaning your iPad with alcohol. When using liquid cleaners to wipe your iPad screen, avoid using alcohol, aerosol sprays, abrasives and glass cleaners. These liquids may damage your screen.

Go through a charge cycle. Once a month, charge your iPad to 100% and completely drain it out. This will help in keeping your batteries from getting ruined too soon.

Avoid contact with heat. The iPad is durable to some degree, but avoid exposing it to heat above 95 degrees Fahrenheit, as that may cause critical damage to your device.

Do not experiment with the port connectors. This goes without saying, but you should never attempt to insert anything in the ports other than the intended connector. It will not only damage your device, but also void your warranty.

Have a screen protector and a hard case. The best way to protect your iPad from the harsh world is by getting a screen protector and hard case for it. This way, it will always be protected from bumps, scratches, and even accidental drops.
