How to Customize Your iPhone Charger in Three Simple Steps
Tired of the same old white iPhone charger lying around your room? Get your tubes of glitter, Mod Podge, and colorless nail polish because we’ll do something amazing to your iPhone charger. Oh, and don’t forget to bring your creativity, too.
First things first; here’s what you need:
- Glitter (any color)
- Mod Podge
- Colorless nail polish
Here’s what you need to do:
1) Lay down the first coat.
Using tape, cover the sides that you don’t want to coat with glitter (e.g. the cord itself, the USB port, and so on). Coat the adapter and the flat ends of your cable with Mod Podge.
2) Follow up with the second coat.
Remember how you coat chicken parts with eggs and breading before frying them up? We’ll do something similar to your USB charger. Spread liberal amounts of beautiful, sparkling glitter onto the Mod Podge-covered parts of your charger.
3) Finish with the final coat. (We’re almost done!).
Okay, this final coat needs some patience. To help the glitter stick, seal the second layer with a coat of colorless nail polish. You can seal the glitter layer with Mod Podge, too, but, based on my experience, nail does a better job of getting everything to stick. And it adds some sheer gloss to your glittered charger.
Remove the tape, and dust off the extra glitter, and voila! You now have a chic iPhone charger that stands out! Want to give out glittered-up iPhone chargers as gifts? MacMall offers both the charger adapter and Lightning cable for the iPhone.
