This Day in History: Snow Leopard Released


On August 28th, 2009, Apple released Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Snow Leopard marked the end of apple support for PowerPC Macs, as Apple focused its optimization and attention on optimization for Intel processors. The OS also marked the end of AppleTalk, which was the networking protocol Apple had used for over 20 years.
