Incoming Parallels Access update to aid iPad Pro users
During the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona this past Sunday, Parallels demonstrated a beta version of its Parallels Access app that aims to address issues when used in tandem with the iPad Pro.
The Parallel Access app basically allows people with mobile devices (whether tablets or smartphones) access their Mac and Windows computers while they are way from the house, without having to go through remote desktop client configuration.
However, iPad Pro users have experienced some hiccups using the app with their device, notably when it comes with using certain features, like selecting certain areas of the screen from its 12.9” display.
Parallels senior product manager Kurt Schmucker noted that they are hoping to release the update in the next couple of months. The update, which is currently in its first beta and is soon to have an internal company test, will include the ability to be able to play first-person shooter games by tapping onto the touch screen when in “game mode.”
Once it is ready to go, the Parallels Access update will be released for free. However, once the 30-day free trial period is over, users have to pay $19.99 yearly subscription fee.
